I think we're witnessing another Hegelian dialectic play out. It’s good digital money vs bad digital money. Bitcoin vs CBDCs. Whichever one you choose, the outcome is the same and supporting the former enables the latter.
It follows the testing of the concept "CBDC" a few years back, to test the pushback. And then they introduced the Stablecoins, to test to reaction. Whatever will come will be the perfect "compromise".
Here in the UAE, they are going CBDC in Q4 this year. They've already launched tokenizing real estate assets and soon Digital Wallet ( ID linked ). Plus, we now have Stargate UAE ....
What are your thought at the BIS annual report. Their words:
