Been waiting all week for Mike's take on this whole Israel/Iran situation and it's always worth the wait. I don't listen to any other financial commentators these days as they seem either unable, or incapable, of taking a 10000ft view and joining the dots.
Higher oil prices drive investment in exploration and drilling due to improved profit margins for producers. If permits are in the beginning stages (or not), perhaps due to "National Security" (or whatever) environmental assessments and public opinion will likely be curtailed. Convenient!
