At least that way it's not in your own name and if it is private, they will never know who owns it so it may shield your assets? Comments on my logic are welcomed.
Mike, can you please comment on having securities registered using the Direct Registration System (DRS)?
DRS allows investors to hold their securities in electronic form without needing physical certificates. This system provides a secure way to manage your investments directly with the issuer. This is the Book Entry method of clear title ownership.
The purpose of the DRS is to remove securities from the Street DTS system.
I believe TGT will only be possible following a massively reduced population and that there are still a few more years to run before we reach the sort of population levels that will enable a Great Taking-type event to unfold without significant civil unrest and societal breakdown. My only concern regarding homesteads is what happened to small farms in the aftermath of the Russian revolution.
